Frequently Asked Questions

We don’t hide anything at Settle Easy. We know that property transactions can be stressful and expensive so we’re upfront and transparent when it comes to your conveyancing fees. We don’t think it’s fair that you have to pay contract review costs for a property if you decide not to proceed with the transaction. That’s why we offer FREE contract reviews, ensuring you fully understand what the contract is all about and what you’ll be legally committed to.

To make sure you’re getting a fair price, we offer fixed price conveyancing services, meaning the price you’re quoted is set from the start. No hidden fees, no unexpected additional costs. If you have any questions about pricing, just let us know! We’ll be more than happy to provide you with a line by line cost breakdown to ensure you know exactly where your money is going.

For a general idea of how much it will cost, use our Conveyancing Calculators. Alternatively, reach out to us today for more information.

A conveyancer is a specialist in property law – it’s a professional who helps people transfer property ownership whether you’re buying or selling. They make sure the legal side of your property transaction runs smoothly, preparing legal documents such as section 32s and transfer documents and carrying out searches to ensure everything is in order before you complete the transaction.

While you can technically buy and sell property without a conveyancer, it’s not recommended. A conveyancer will ensure the legalities of your transaction are carried out correctly and ensure you avoid any potential problems down the line.

If you don’t have property law training and experience, it’s very easy to miss things during the conveyancing process. This can end up costing you big time!

Our conveyancers have years of experience behind them and have helped thousands of buyers and sellers settle their transactions successfully.

We understand the local property market and everything that goes into completing the conveyancing transaction. We’re also covered by professional indemnity insurance, so on the off chance something goes wrong – you’re completely covered.

First, the Contract of Sale needs to be prepared and reviewed. This ensures everything is organised and legally sound before you commit your time and money to this important transaction. This is known as the Pre-Contract step.

The second step is Pre-Completion. This is where the bulk of conveyancing work happens, including a series of checks and searches, liaising with real estate agents and more. These searches ensure each part of the property is up to standard, and include:

  • Title Searches
  • Local Authority Searches
  • Risk Assessments
  • Structural Search
  • Pest Reports
  • Body corporate management.

Once all the searches are complete, your conveyancer will compile a report for your review. They will also explain any issues with the property after the searches are complete.

The final step is Post-Completion, which involves the transfer of ownership and any other conveyancing activities that require completion.

For more information about our conveyancing services, contact us today.

To begin, you’ll need a Contract of Sale. At Settle Easy, your conveyancing service will start with a review of your contract to make sure everything is in order. From there, our conveyancers can get to work ensuring your property is good to go and ready to be transferred from one owner to another.
