About the Role
As our Trust Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm’s trust accounting and billing functions and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
Performing daily bank reconciliations and managing the receipting and disbursement of trust funds.
Ensuring compliance with trust accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Managing monthly accounting processes related to out-of-pocket disbursements and disbursement recoveries.
Overseeing the firm’s billing processes.
Collaborating with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in trust accounting, preferably within a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of trust account regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
