Billing Procedure 

We generally invoice in stages, in accordance with the summary set out below:

Once the contract of sale has been prepared and released, we issue an invoice for $300.00 plus GST plus disbursements incurred to date.  

Please note that if the contract of sale requires an update, then we reserve the right to charge an additional $300.00 plus GST plus  
disbursements incurred to date. 

The balance fees and disbursements payable are invoiced at the earlier of cancellation, termination, or settlement. 

Purchase 

If there was a paid pre-contract review, then this is invoiced prior to the release of the contract review.

Off-the-Plan Purchase / House and Land Packages

Once the engagement stage has been completed (that being contract review and signing and key dates and summary letter), we issue an invoice for $300.00 plus GST plus disbursements incurred to date. 

The balance fees and disbursements payable are invoiced at the earlier of cancellation, termination, or settlement. 

 

Scope of Work 

The scope of work that we undertake is strictly limited to the work involved in a standard transaction of its type. 

Any work that falls outside of the Scope of Work will be an additional cost payable by you. A list of additional costs or charges is set out in this Service and Fee Schedule (refer to Ancillary Services, Documents, Agreements and Additional Administrative Fees). 

If you would like us to undertake any additional work not included within the Scope of Work or engage us for ancillary services listed in the Service and Fee Schedule, then please make a request in writing and we will advise as soon as possible whether we can action your request. 

Unless we specifically agree, our Scope of Work does not include giving financial, commercial or taxation advice, town planning advice, advising on the commercial viability of any transaction, advising on your financial capacity to enter into or complete a transaction, advising on the financial viability or stability of any other party involved in the transaction and whether that other party is capable of performing its obligations. We may also specifically exclude other matters. 

If the work on the matter exceeds the ordinary scope or normal reasonable bounds, then there will be additional costs and we will confirm those costs with you before undertaking the work. 

In circumstances where you instruct us that you no longer wish to proceed with the transaction after we have commenced work (or if the matter is terminated or cancelled), then we reserve the right to render an account for work completed and disbursements incurred on your matter up to and including the time at which such instructions are provided.
